PREDATOR PREY (original artwork)
I was always a fan of Predator, and now I had the pleasure of doing this illustration for the Predator movie "Prey"! This image was later made as a mural for the advertising of the film for Star Plus.
Certain natural scenes with fog, which achieve a gloomy and sinister atmosphere typical of the Great Plains due to their humidity, as well as the deformity that the clouds take on in the sky accompanied by some lightning when the alien arrives on Earth were elements that served me well of inspiration for the composition and creation of this image. As an extra fact, I added a lightning bolt from the sky, inspired by the lightning that covers the Predator in the second movie when he raises his precious trophy to the sky: the skull and spine of his victim.
PLUS: If you’d like to see a good story of this saga, watch this video where there’s an explanation of why The Predator gave the ancient gun to the detective Mike Harrigan in “Predator 2”: The Story of Raphael Adolini. I found this comic from Dark Horse totally awesome, from the well narrated story to the astonishing watercolor artwork!
